BIOLOGY DEFINITION

Biology is the branch of science which deals with the study of life and the study of living things.

WHERE THE BIOLOGY WORD CAME FROM?

THE word biology came from the Greek words.

                                BIOLOGY MEANING

The word bio means life and the word ology means the study.

ARISTOTLE is the father of biology.

Galen is the father of anatomy.

A significant work is done by the William Harvey explained that heart pumps blood and then circulates.

If you are still reading than you must be familiar with the name Charles Darwin who wrote the book “The origin of species by means of natural selection”

There are two major divisions of biology

Botany

 In botany we study about the plants.

ZOOLOGY

In zoology we study about the animals.
