TYPES OF PESTS

 

There are four are categories of pests

1)      Weeds undesirable plants

There are many types of weeds which compete with the crop and utilizes its food resources.

2)      Invertebrates

Invertebrates include insects, spider’s mite’s snails and sow bugs.

3)      Vertebrates

In vertebrates the bird’s, snakes and mammals are included. Birds eat the pest as a source of food and helps n maintaining their population.

4)      Plant diseases

The fourth major disease-causing category is plant diseases. They are developed with fungi, bacteria, viruses, nematodes, and phytoplasmas.

Natural controls

Natural control is out of man hands because human can’t control the nature. The nature also control the pest population in different methods. Some of these controls are

Predators, temperature, rain, rivers, pathogens, wind,

Low are high temperature can affect the pest lie cycles. Very hot temperature can cause death of pests because they can’t survive.

4) Physical control
